FORMULA SAE®

In 1981, SAE International developed and managed the first Formula SAE® (FSAE®) student competition. Since its inception, Formula SAE has expanded and includes many spin-off events. In the United States there are two competitions managed by SAE International, one of which Alabama A&M University participates.

HUMAN EXPLORATION CHALLENGE

Each year, the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge features an engineering design challenge to engage students worldwide in the next phase of human space exploration. The event is a more complex follow-up to the successful NASA’s Great Moonbuggy Race. The goal is to create a vehicle designed to traverse the simulated surface of another world.
